It’s the perfect budget-friendly, under-15-minute meal that feels fancy but is super easy. Ingredients 1 pack Korean instant ramen (like Shin Ramyun or Samyang) 1 egg ½ cup cabbage – shredded ¼ cup carrots – julienned ¼ cup bell pepper – sliced 2 cloves garlic – minced 1 tsp soy sauce 1 tsp sesame oil 1 tsp cooking oil Water (as per ramen packet) Optional Toppings: Spring onions Toasted sesame seeds Kimchi on the side Chili flakes or gochugaru for heat Instructions Step 1: Prep Veggies Heat oil in a pan. Sauté garlic until fragrant. Add cabbage, carrots, bell peppers. Stir-fry for 2–3 minutes with a dash of soy sauce. Set aside. Step 2: Cook Ramen In a pot, bring water to a boil. Add ramen noodles and seasoning packets. Let it cook halfway, then crack the egg directly into the pot (don’t stir). Simmer for 2–3 minutes more until the egg is softly poached. Step 3: Assemble Pour the ramen with broth into a bowl. Top with the sautéed veggies. Drizzle sesame oil and add spring onions or sesame seeds if using. Serving Tips For extra richness, stir in a slice of cheese or a spoon of gochujang. Make it a full meal with kimchi, dumplings, or fried tofu.
