The sweet Neapolitan casatiello is a traditional dessert of Campania origin very ancient, a symbol of Easter. With a decidedly very particular taste, the Neapolitan sweet casatiello is one of those desserts that takes you back to childhood with a bite, when the unmistakable smell of the casatiello being cooked or freshly baked flooded the house and it was customary on Easter day to have breakfast with a nice slice of casatiello perhaps "soaked" in milk.
